The SEFA Group Welcomes John Castleman
November 2008
John Castleman is Senior Process Engineer for the company in Research and Development. He has over 28 years experience in engineering, development, and marketing of innovative processes and technologies. Mr. Castleman holds BS and MS degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Tennessee. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in Tennessee and Georgia. His responsibilities with SEFA include STAR technology design, improvements and marketing. Mr. Castleman is also involved with research on new commercial products developed in the STAR research and development program. Prior to coming to SEFA, he worked for the Tennessee Valley Authority until 1988 when he started his own company, FBT Engineering.

Expansion into the FGD and Gypsum Hauling Services

The SEFA Group has expanded it core services to now include a full range of back-end fly ash management solutions. With the addition of FGD (Fluid Gas Desulphurization) filter press operations, FGD waste water treatment handling and disposal, and gypsum hauling, the company has now established an expansive line of total ash management services.

Technical Marketing Team Additions

Thomas Wahl, PE has joined The SEFA Group from the concrete industry as our Technical Marketing, Sales & Service in Roanoke, VA. And Bill Black has joined The SEFA Group as our Technical Marketing, Sales & Service in Charlotte, NC.

New Duke Energy Fly Ash Agreement
January 2007
The SEFA Group has established a new fly ash management agreement with Duke Energy for two plants in North Carolina. The company now manage and market fly ash at Belews Creek Steam Station, and that company will also manage CCP off-spec disposal and landfill operations at both Belews Crek and the Marshall Steam Station.

Tennessee Transportation Operations Expanding
January 2007
The SEFA Group's transportation operations have again expanded with a total of 15 trucks now operating from the Cumberland Fossil Plant.

Transportation Team Additions
August 2006
The SEFA Group welcomes three new members to its transporation team. Jerry Summers has moved from his position as a tanker fleet driver to join the dispatch team. David Clifton has also joined the dispatch team coordinating product load assisgnments in the Tennessee marketing. And Eric Brown has joined the transporation team as the Maintenance Coordinator and Dispatcher.

The SEFA Group Expands Transportation Services
February 2006
The SEFA Group announces the expansion of its trucking fleet into central Tennessee, southern Kentucky, and northern Alabama. "The expansion of our services into this region marks a major step in our company's future plans," says Bert Nunn, Vice President of Operations. "Paired with the addition of new tankers to our fleet in the Carolinas and Georgia, we will now be able to offer an even greater level of service to our concrete producer customers."
